Ben and Katie had their wedding on March 6, 2021, at the elegant The Harpeth Hotel. The couple included a unity puzzle that symbolized their family uniting; it contained a piece for each of them, followed by the kids; Instead of a candle. They also incorporated their beloved skulls into their wedding details. They didn’t have a wedding party, so Gabe and McKenna served as their wedding party, standing beside them while they were married. 

Katie was wearing a stunning black gown, and their wedding motif was black, which was a perfect choice because it was both bold and elegant. We adored their first look as the kids were eagerly awaiting Katie’s arrival. “Today I tell your Dad I Do, and I promise you forever too,” Katie said through the kid’s necklace.

Their officiant traveled from California to officiate their wedding. As Ben walks down with Gabe, the two boys look handsome and cool. Unfortunately, before departing for the ceremony, my fantastic second shooter had to fix Ben’s ripped pants. Thankfully, this remained throughout the ceremony and photos, even when Ben sat down. The ceremony happened at the majestic staircase with all eyes on Katie. The family looks amazing while walking down to reception. 

We also took family portraits at the magnificent staircase. We had a blast photographing their couples portrait. We enjoyed Ben and Katie’s wedding; these two beautiful soul makes us proud to be part of their excellent and unforgettable celebration. 

The Elegant Harpeth Hotel Welcomed the Couple

Downtown Nashville is 40 to 50 minutes away from the Harpeth Hotel, located in Historic Franklin. Starting with the Presidential Suite, the King Bed Corner Junior Suite with Balcony, King Junior Suite with Juliet Balconies, and King Junior Suite with Juliet Balconies are available at the Harpeth Hotel. Another great thing about this hotel, your fur babies is welcome too. The Harpeth is a pet-friendly hotel, and it cost a non-refundable $100 fee includes a welcome treat bag, water/food bowls, and a bed if needed. By request and approval, you can have your photo and video session at the Harpeth Hotel. 

The couple’s guests can dine at 1799 Kitchen and Cocktails, an elegant, chef-driven restaurant on the hotel grounds that serves some of the region’s best whiskey. On the other hand, McGavock’s Coffee Bar and Provisions, a European-style street cafe, is also open for a cup of coffee or lunch.
